Cumberland Electrochemical Limited are one of the World’s leading designers and manufacturers of electrochlorination plant and equipment serving oil & gas, power, desalination, general industrial and municipal industries. We have manufacturing facilities in UK and Netherlands, regional offices in Dubai, UAE and a network of agents and partners throughout the World.

A significant increase order intake has resulted in the need for major expansion program particularly at our manufacturing facility at Bicester, UK.

We urgently require first class people in the following disciplines.

Experience in the electrochlorination industry would be a significant benefit but current experience working in the highly regulated industries we serve is essential.

Many of the positions will require applicants willing and able to travel overseas.

Production Manager

Cumberland manufacture both bespoke skid mounted process equipment for final installation in a major projects, together with standard packaged plant for both brine based potable applications and off-shore oil/gas industries.

The production manager will be expected to control all production processes in the UK facility and from time to time at the major project assembly facility in The Netherlands.

Skid mounted equipment includes electrolyser cells, pumps, filters, tanks, blowers, pipework, valves, controls etc and applicants from similar backgrounds will be important.

The industries we serve are heavily quality conscious and the management of QA documentation, reporting and testing will be of critical importance. The Production Manager will work in association with the QA Document Control Manager to achieve full compliance.

The role will require you to develop, control, monitor and improve all production activities of the Company in order to achieve full technical, QA, H&S, Environmental compliance and maximum profitability for the Company.

This role is key to the development and success of the business and will be rewarded accordingly. Applicants would be expected to be professionally qualified and with at least 10 years suitable experience.

Project Manager

Cumberland work both as lead contractor to major International end users such as Qatar Gas, Saudi Aramco etc but also to major EPC contractos such as CH2Mhill, Doosan, Dodsal.

A Lead Project Manager is required to oversee the contract management, engineering design, project delivery and cost management process of all the Companies projects.

Applicants should be familiar with International contracting requirements in familiar industries such as oil & gas, power generation, etc preferably from a key supplier perspective.

The Project Manager will be involved in pre-award negotiations and all technical and commercial negotiations through project lifecycle. The Project Manager will be supported by a team of project engineers, CAD designers, procurement, site supervisors, administration, H&S managers, QA managers as required to fulfil the Companies obligations.

As this is a new role, the successful applicant will be able to develop and enhance his team as necessary.

Project/Contract Engineers

Cumberland have an increasing backlog of orders mostly from overseas which requires the addition to our existing contract management team. These engineering positions are available to both mechanical and electrical disciplines.

The successful applicants will work closely with the Project Manager to fulfil the Companies obligations from contract award to site handover and through the warranty period as required.

Applicants should be familiar with current project management techniques, time & resource management, programme management, supplier negotiation, sub-contractor negotiation, client negotiation. You will be responsible for production of method statements, risk assessments. You will need a sound understanding of contract conditions, quality procedures, safety procedures. You will have effective communications skills and be familiar with usual computer software systems, Word, Excel, MS Project etc.

Electrical/C&I Contract Design Engineer

As part of the package supplied by Cumberland on all turn-key projects and standard plant systems, there is a significant element of electrical controls and power distribution systems.

We require a suitably qualified electrical/C&I engineer to be responsible for all electrical packages offered by the Company. Suitable applicants will be familiar with PLC based control systems using Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modcom software. They will also be experienced in the design, specifying and supervision of construction of MCC switchgear, both cabinet based and Form 4 type.

The applicant should be able to provide design calculations for power flow studies, fault level studies and harmonic voltage distortion.

The applicant should also be experience in design of transformers up to 11KV feed and thyristor controlled rectification systems which are fundamental to the electrical scope of all Cumberland packages.

The Engineer will be expected to assist the sales and proposals team during tender stage and the project management and production teams during project delivery.

It is expected that the applicant will be professionally qualified and have at least 10 years working in a similar industry.

QA Documentation Control Manager

Cumberland supply major projects and plant to highly regulated, heavily QA orientated businesses in the oil&gas, power generation industries and as such require a suitably qualified QA professional to oversee all our systems and procedures are in place and managed in order to comply our internal systems and with the specific requirements of our clients.

This role will require you to work with the contract teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that all procurement, traceability, testing, assessment, training, QA, H&S, environmental, O&M, shipping, insurance, INCO terms documentation is in place and monitored as necessary.

Applicants will be expected to be able to demonstrate experience in this type of environment.

Software Engineer

All Cumberland projects and standard plant are based on PLC control and monitoring systems. The software and systems used are based on Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modcom, InTools, Intouch etc.

The Software Engineer will be required to work with the tendering team pre-award and will be fully responsible for design of all ladder writing and associated control software, PLC design and specification and will support the engineering and production teams in commissioning all software packages.

Fully computer literate the applicant will be professionally qualified and have 5-10 years experience working in similar industries.

CAD Design Engineers

The company requires full engineering design support throughout all stages of our business, from tender submissions and appraisals, engineering, manufacture and as-built. We require both mechanical and electrical CAD engineers to fulfil this function.

Reporting to the Project Manager you will be expert in the use of AUTOCAD 2005 and some experience in 3D design drawing will be a distinct advantage.
